Job Description:

• Preferably having Primary experience in Oracle Database admin and performance tuning.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in large scale databases environments and diverse teams.
• Minimum of two-three (2-3) years of experience as DB performance analyst/tuner.
• Excellent understanding of database architecture with a focus on performance.
• Experience with hands-on production performance support.
• Knowledge of database optimization and fine-tuning techniques.
• Ability to quickly figure out the root cause of performance and other technical issues and provide solutions.
• Detailed DB performance analysis using various tools OEM, AWR, ASH, OS monitoring tools
• Experience and knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Trace/Explain plans, SQL performance tuning. Setting Oracle parameters, and options.
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining Tables, Partitioning, indexes, Triggers, stored procedures, etc. in a large terabyte database environment
• Experience in system components including CPU, RAM, IO and SAN
• SQL and PL/SQL coding and troubleshooting experience for analyzing packages/procedures/triggers/application code is mandatory.
• Clear understanding of Oracle wait events and ability to effectively use wait event analysis in performance troubleshooting is mandatory.
• Physical design considerations including index and partition designs in Oracle is mandatory.
• Some hands-on Oracle Golden Gate experience is helpful
• Proven strong written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in meetings, email and informal discussions.
• Weekly/Monthly status report customer on performance tuning recommendations and implementation
