With a stellar career spanning across Mergers & Acquisitions, Securities Law, Regulatory Advisory, International Trade, and Competition Law, Suhail is highly regarded for his nuanced understanding of Indian business dynamics and the complex regulatory landscape that international investors must navigate when entering India.
Suhail has represented India in WTO disputes before the Panel and Appellate Body in Geneva and has advised several prestigious institutions including the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). He was a key contributor to the CCI Working Group on policy, advocacy, and advisory, and has played an instrumental role in shaping India’s merger control regulations as part of the ‘Law Firm Working Group’ formed by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Internationally, he has worked with DFID UK on drafting competition and consumer protection laws for Afghanistan.
