Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support – ESB Specialist (IBM ACE) for the Banking domain to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and support of mission-critical applications and integration platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies, along with technical troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and proactive system monitoring skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide application support for business-critical applications and ESB integrations.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to application performance, availability, and integration flows.
Collaborate with development teams to analyze root causes and implement permanent fixes.
Manage incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL standards.
Perform deployment, configuration, and patching of applications and ESB components.
Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring issues.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of supported applications.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely solutions.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
5–7 years of experience in Application Support.
Hands-on expertise with ESB platforms (e.g., IBM Integration Bus).
Solid understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and middleware technologies.
Proficiency in SQL, Shell/Python scripting, and log analysis tools.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and application servers such as WebSphere, JBoss, and Tomcat.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and Remedy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Good to Have:
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
