Arihant is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist with extensive experience in IT services and wealth management. He is the Managing Director of Patni Financial Advisors, which is the administrative entity for the Patni Family office. Under his leadership, the firm oversees deployment of assets across listed securities, private equity, debt instruments, real estate and other alternate asset classes in India as well as internationally.

Arihant’s foray in the venture capital space came about when his family business, Patni Computer Systems, was acquired in 2011. He is Venture Partner at Ideaspring Capital, an early-stage fund set up in collaboration with established technology entrepreneurs to invest in enterprise technology innovation. He is also co-founder of The Hive (India), a silicon valley based ‘Big Data’ incubator, and Nirvana Ventures, a fund focused on the Indian consumer internet space.

Arihant received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Chemical Engineering. He continued his education at Babson College, where he received his Masters of Business Administration with a dual concentration in Entrepreneurship and Finance. He then received a separate Masters Degree in Statistics from Columbia University.

Arihant is an avid runner and has completed over twenty half-marathons all over the world.
