Vimal Pillai

Vimal brings 15 years of extensive experience in strategy, marketing, communications, and digital technologies. At Clover Infotech, he has been instrumental in creating a robust strategy to enable new customer acquisition across India and international markets. He has been closely working with the key departments in the company to drive business acceleration and enhance operational efficiency.

In his stint at Clover Infotech, he has led the transformation of the ‘marketing’ function to build significant brand recall among customers, employees, and other key stakeholders. The areas managed include brand management, PR and media relations, strategic events, and marketing initiatives with alliance partners – the world’s leading technology organizations.

Prior to Clover Infotech, he managed a critical portfolio in marketing communications at the Financial Technologies group (now known as ‘63 moons technologies’). He led the marketing initiatives for its brokerage technology suite of products which enjoyed a market share of over 80%. He set-up and led the marketing communication and brand management function at the group’s multi-asset exchange based out of Mauritius. He also played a key role in managing web and digital assets, creation of investor communications and annual reports across its various group companies which included MCX – one of the largest commodity exchanges in the world.

He has been featured among the “Most Influential Martech Leaders” by the World Marketing Congress in November 2017 and is among the “100 Most Influential National Leaders in Marketing” listed by CMO Asia in July 2015. He holds a master’s degree in management studies and is an engineer in information technology from the University of Mumbai.

His interests include marketing, digital technologies, social media, investing in stock markets, and creative writing. He is the author of Amazon Bestseller – 13 Months’ salary per year.
