Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager – Domestic BFSI to drive account growth and client success across leading banks, NBFCs, and insurance organizations. The ideal candidate brings deep BFSI domain knowledge, strong relationship management skills, and a proven ability to identify and convert cross-selling opportunities within existing portfolios. You will collaborate with internal delivery, pre-sales, and technology teams to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring consistent revenue growth and exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with key stakeholders across existing BFSI accounts (banks, NBFCs, insurance firms).
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities in existing engagements.
- Drive end-to-end sales lifecycle – from client need analysis to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities within the allocated portfolio.
- Coordinate with delivery, pre-sales, and technical teams to craft suitable solutions for client needs.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through account expansion.
- Track industry trends, client developments, and competitor activities in BFSI sector.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
- Prepare account growth plans and conduct regular business reviews with internal and client stakeholders.
- Generate regular MIS reports and forecasts on revenue, activities, and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development / account management, with at least 3 years in the domestic BFSI segment.
- Proven success in account mining, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Deep understanding of the BFSI customer landscape, buying patterns, and compliance needs.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with BFSI clients in IT solutions, managed services, staffing, or enterprise products is preferred.
