Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst (BA) with expertise in General Insurance to join our team and collaborate with a reputed client. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of general insurance processes, product life cycles, and regulatory requirements, along with hands-on experience in requirement gathering, workflow analysis, and coordination between business and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Process Mapping & Optimization: Assess and enhance business processes, documenting process flows using industry-standard tools.
- Gap Analysis & Solution Design: Identify gaps between business needs and system capabilities, collaborating with IT teams to design effective solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain BRD (Business Requirement Document), FSD (Functional Specification Document), and user stories for development teams.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- System Implementation & UAT: Work with testing teams to define test cases, validate requirements, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for successful system implementation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Domain Expertise: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis within General Insurance, specifically in Non-Motor insurance domains such as: Health Insurance, Fire Insurance, Marine Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Liability Insurance
- Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of key insurance functions, including Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims Management, Reinsurance, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Business Analysis Skills: Proven experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, GAP analysis, and writing BRD/FSD.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, JIRA, and Excel.
