Air India has become the first Indian airline to roll out the New Distribution Capability (NDC), a technology that simplifies booking flights. With this new move, Air India has adopted the latest 21.3 schema from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which will revolutionize how it sells tickets and services.

This new technology will allow Air India to offer a more personalized and efficient booking experience for both leisure and business travelers. The NDC system, backed by IATA, uses an advanced XML-based standard, giving travel agents access to a wider range of services like exclusive flight deals, add-ons, and tailored packages.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India, shared, “Implementing NDC is a significant milestone for Air India as we continue to innovate and enhance our distribution strategy. Our goal is to provide a seamless and efficient booking experience for our travel partners and customers.”

With NDC, Air India can now provide real-time options, better pricing, and tailored offers that weren’t available through older methods. Customers will enjoy a simpler and more transparent booking process, ensuring they get the best deals available. Travel agents worldwide can visit ndc.airindia.com for more details or contact the airline’s NDC support team for assistance.
